Description
The Dental Autotransplantation Course, led by Dr. Adel Hamdani and Dr. Adriana Castro Calderon, is designed for dental surgeons, endodontists, and oral surgeons looking to incorporate this advanced technique into their daily practice. The course is structured into two distinct parts:
- Day 1: Theoretical Foundations A comprehensive overview of the key principles of dental autotransplantation, covering everything from case selection to surgical management.
- Day 2: Hands-On Practice Focused on mastering 3D planning for guided autotransplantation and performing surgical steps on models to build practical expertise.
Objectifs
This theoretical and interactive course is designed to help dental surgeons, endodontists, and oral surgeons master the indications for dental autotransplantation, as well as the digital and surgical protocols, enabling them to confidently perform autotransplantation procedures.

Programme
The first part of the training focuses on the autotransplantation of immature teeth. Participants will learn how to assess indications, integrate this technique into their treatment plans, and become familiar with the surgical protocol. Postoperative follow-up and complication management will also be covered.
The second part of the training focuses on the autotransplantation of mature teeth. This section will cover the specific techniques required for mature teeth, with particular attention to endodontic management.
The third part of the training highlights the benefits of digital workflow in dental autotransplantation. Participants will explore how digital tools can enhance precision and efficiency in planning and performing procedures. Topics include 3D scanning, 3D printing, computer-assisted surgical planning, and surgical navigation.
The final part of the training focuses on the surgical steps, allowing participants to become familiar with the protocol by performing an autotransplantation on models.
